Today a couple of our sites are making a virtual visit to Biloxi, Mississippi. We’ve got a nice hotel near the beach and a look at the events scheduled for the city’s indoor arena. Biloxi is on the Gulf of Mexico at the southern edge of Mississippi, about 12 miles east of Gulfport and 60 miles west of Mobile, Alabama.
Today’s featured hotel at TheRealPlaces is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Biloxi. It’s located across the street from the Gulf of Mexico at the southern end of I-110. A couple of Biloxi’s waterfront casinos (Beau Rivage and Hard Rock) are just a block east of the DoubleTree and the city’s minor league baseball stadium is on the opposite side of the highway.
And if you’re looking for something to do in Biloxi (other than gambling), Biloxi’s primary indoor event space is also on the waterfront, a couple miles west of the DoubleTree. The schedule of events at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum includes the home games of the minor league Mississippi Sea Wolves hockey team plus lots of other raucous fun like rodeo, monster jams and visits from some classic rock groups.
